The Odd Family: Liening Unusual Projects
Every State, as well as the Federal Government, has specific requirements for preserving and filing lien and/or bond claims on public projects. Public Partnerships, or P3, projects are becoming more common, and confusion often reigns over whether P3 projects are “public” or “private.” The presenters explored how practitioners should evaluate lien rights for unusual projects, including P3 projects, leases, ground leases, subleases, and the separation of air rights and ground rights.
