Ephraim del Pozo Receives the Distinguished Member Award from the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston
Ephraim del Pozo has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Member Award from the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston (MABAH). The award honors a member of the MABAH who leads by example through generosity and passionate commitment in the legal community. Ephraim was awarded the honor by Michael F. Barry, President and Dean at South Texas College of Law during the MABAH’s 50th Anniversary Gala on Friday, October7, 2022.
Ephraim is a partner in the Houston office of Porter Hedges. His practice focuses on energy finance and also includes a broad range of corporate transactions, including commercial lending and acquiring and disposing of energy-related assets and companies.
Ephraim has been an active member of the MABAH over the past two decades and served as the 2009-2010 MABAH President. He now serves as a liaison between the organization and the three Houston-area law schools to promote the mentorship and community outreach to current law students. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the South Texas College of Law’s Alumni Association.
Founded in 1972, MABAH is one of the largest Hispanic legal organizations in the State of Texas, comprised of diversity of talent, expertise and leadership. MABAH is widely known for the diverse background of its members, including Puerto Rican, Argentinean, Mexican, Cuban, Guatemalan, Mexican-American, and non-Hispanic. It is truly representative of the Hispanic community of Metropolitan Houston.
