Nick Sorensen Named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by The Beacon Law

As a result of his commitment to its mission and clientele, Nick Sorensen has been selected as The Beacon’s Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. He has worked as a volunteer attorney with The Beacon for since 2020 and has been dedicated to its clients, most recently giving his time and talents at a legal clinic for veterans and accepting difficult cases along the way. 

Porter Hedges has worked the Beacon on several projects including the expunction of criminal records which is an important part of the organization’s work.

Based in Houston, The Beacon is a non-profit organization that serves individuals experiencing homelessness by providing daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring and housing case management.
