Nick Moore’s practice is focused primarily on upstream, midstream, and renewable energy transactions, including those involving asset acquisitions, asset dispositions, joint ventures and exploration and development programs. His renewable experience includes carbon capture and sequestration, solar, and brine production projects. He also has experience with the federal and state regulations of crude oil and refined petroleum products pipelines, including administrative litigation.
Nick also advises clients on day-to-day issues that arise in the upstream and midstream energy industry and has experience negotiating joint operating agreements, joint development agreements, oil and gas leases, easements, surface use agreements, drilling contracts, gathering, processing and disposal agreements, as well as other energy-related documentation.
In addition to energy transactions, Nick has experience developing and negotiating design and construction contracts for commercial, industrial, energy, and renewable construction projects, with a focus on EPC contracts, Master Services Agreements, and terms and conditions for equipment and material purchases.
Prior to joining Porter Hedges, Nick was an associate at two Houston firms including an AmLaw 200 firm.
