Porter Hedges Elects Four New Partners for 2025

Porter Hedges announced today that Colin Cox, Jamie Godsey, Robert Radu, and Cory Sweers have been elected as partners effective January 1, 2025.

Colin Cox represents developers, purchasers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders in real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions. He also routinely negotiates, prepares, and maintains commercial real estate leases in Texas and across the country for landlords and tenants involved in leasing properties which span from office buildings to strip malls to big-box national properties. Prior to Porter Hedges, Colin served as Associate Counsel in the legal department of Weingarten Realty Investors, a New York Stock Exchange real estate investment trust.

Jamie Godsey represents clients in a broad range of litigation matters such as trade secret litigation, contract disputes, employment and energy sector disputes, bankruptcy litigation, and business torts. She has tried cases to successful verdicts in both state and federal court. Jamie also handles internal corporate investigations, white-collar crime investigations, regulatory defense, and litigation related to a wide range of domestic and international matters, including corruption, bribery allegations, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She has spent her entire private practice career at Porter Hedges. Prior to and throughout law school, Jamie was a Spanish Teacher for Goose Creek ISD.

Robert Radu represents clients on a variety of general corporate matters with a focus on private equity, financing transactions, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and debt restructurings. His experience includes negotiating senior secured, mezzanine, and subordinated debt financings, working capital facilities, syndicated credit facilities, and SBIC investments of long-term debt and equity. Robert advises private equity funds, companies, and financial institutions across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, business services, and technology.

Cory Sweers represents clients in all stages of the construction process, from drafting and negotiating construction agreements to litigation and arbitration of construction disputes. On the transactional side, his experience includes advising and representing owners, developers, and general contractors in preparing and negotiating design and construction contracts for commercial, industrial, multi-family, public works, energy, and renewable construction projects. In addition to construction transactions, Cory advises and represents commercial, industrial, and infrastructure project participants in a wide range of construction disputes in both litigation and arbitration.
