James Keefe advises clients on insolvency matters, including debtors, DIP lenders, official committees of unsecured creditors, and other creditors across many industries, including energy, finance, and media.
Prior to joining Porter Hedges, James was an associate at a boutique litigation firm where he counseled clients on bankruptcy adversary proceedings. He also served a two-year clerkship with the Hon. Erik P. Kimball in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida where he gained experience with Chapter 11 “first day” motions, disclosure statements, and plans.
While in law school, James served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Brenda M. Whinery in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.
